to Serial or not to Serial

It seems as though, despite my continued (but moderate)sales at Smashwords, people don't seem to like the serial format. I admit that part of that MUST be the lack of regular chapters, but be that as it may... I'm going to try to finish out a book at a time faster than I have and post that.

I'll save the serialization for podiobooks audio or something, and see how that works.

Aweful Review

Just got my first actually nasty review. I won't repeat it here, as it goes out of its way to call my writing lame. Ouch.

At least some people actually get what I am doing with the story. Thanks.

John Smith, World Jumper Book One: Portal to Adventure, Part Nine

Part nine is up. It's always nice to finish a piece! Now If I can just get the next four parts up and actually finish the first book. It'll be great to have the whole thing published, expecially for all the people who are waiting to be able to read it at once.

I still think the serial idea has merit, but if I do it with "Portal to Peril," I'm really going to have to work on frequency, because I think it has to be two weeks between tops, not two months.

Any thoughts?

Eagles in the Sand

I've gone ahead and posted the first part of this unfinished work, as both a preview and to give those who have to wait for my too slow posts of John Smith, World Jumper to arrive.

I also have Part Nine of Portal to Adventure up.

I just noticed that I've been writing on that story for over a year. Hmm a bit under the 365,000 words I should have written. Funny, 1,000 words a day doesn't seem like a lot, until you look back and realize that you haven't written them..
